Remote assistance (Windows)

The Helpdesk team has the ability to remotely connect to computers – to enable remote connection, please prepare the computer for remote assistance. At the University, we use the TeamViewer application, so please download and run the following program (it must be the following software version):

IMPORTANT!

Do not provide the ID, password, or session code unless you are certain that you are speaking with a Helpdesk/CUI employee from Gdańsk University of Technology!

Please exercise particular caution when:

  • You receive a call from someone claiming to be a Helpdesk or PG employee, even though you haven’t reported any issues.

  • A link to the program or the program itself is sent via email, along with a request to provide the ID, password, or session code.

  • You see a notification about an unexpected connection to your computer (bottom-right corner of your screen).
