🖥️ Access to remote desktop in application TETA

 

Important - connection outside of PG network

To be able to connect with remote desktp TETA outside of Gdańsk University of Technologies network, it is neccesary to install and have active connection with network OpenVPN.

Do not mistake with SSL VPN - it does not provide acceptable access to TETA.

Without an active connection by OpenVPN connection with remote desktop will not be possible.

Password change in My PG results in password change for domain log in (wchich is to machine (to log in to Windows) and remote desktop teta.pg.edu.pl)!

  1. In menu Windows we start application ‘remote desktop connection’ (in search field we type fragment of application name).

  2. After starting we click action show options and fill log in data. Computer:teta.pg.edu.pl username: PGEDU\login (login is a short PG login without expanding @pg.edu.pl)

With that prepared configuratiuon we save with action save as… choosing responding file location (such as desktop) and name (such as Teta remote desktop)

Now you can start connection with application TETA without need for filling data - you only need to doubleclick at saved shortcut

Download and install aplication Windows App

  1. Open App Store on your Mac

  2. Search for windows app or use direct link Windows App w Mac App Store.

  3. Click download and then install

Configure remote connection

  1. Start application windows app on your mac.

  2. Click button + and choose add computer

  3. Fill in the fields:

  • Computer name: Insert IP adress or host name of computer with Windows

→ teta.pg.edu.pl (to VPN adress 172.24.28.0/24)

  • User account: add your log in details PGEDU\[shortlogin]

  • marked with red frame checkboxes must be empty

  1. Click add to save configuration.

🔗 Connect with remote computer

  1. On the list of connections doubleclick added computer.

  2. If warning about certifiacate appears, accept it.

  3. Insert log in data (username and password) for computer with Windows.
