Voice and Video Calls and Possible Issues
How to check and change the expiration date of a recording in TeamsThanks to the Microsoft Teams application, we have the option to contact a selected user or group of collaborators via an audio or video call.
WARNING!
MS Teams has launched the necessary consent option for recording - only those who clicked consent will be recorded. Of course, they can still participate in the meeting, but they do not have the ability to speak verbally and are not recorded. They can write in the chat.

Once recording starts, all Users will see a notification.
To start an audio call, you need to enter the chat with the selected user and click the headset icon, located in the top right corner of the application window.
To start a video call, you need to enter the chat with the selected user and click the camera icon, located in the top right corner of the application window.
After selecting the Headset or Camera icon, a new window will appear with information about the call initiation.
Once the call is answered by the user, a call window will be visible. The call duration will be displayed in the top left corner. In the top right corner, options for camera visibility, microphone mute, and call disconnection (red headset) are visible.
If the camera is not working in Microsoft Teams, it may be due to various issues related to hardware, drivers, permissions, or settings. Here is a detailed guide on how to troubleshoot this issue:
Currently, the vast majority of laptops on the market have a special function key located on one of the keys between F1 and F12. It usually depicts an image of a camera and is responsible for turning it on or off.
Check the hardware connection
Connecting the camera: Make sure the camera is properly connected to the USB port. If you are using a built-in camera, ensure that it is turned on.
Other applications: Check if the camera works in other applications, such as the camera app on the computer. If it doesn't work, the problem may lie with the camera itself.
Check the camera settings in Microsoft Teams
Launch Microsoft Teams: Open the Teams app
Settings: Click on your profile picture or initials in the upper right corner, then select "Settings."
Devices: Go to the "Devices" section.
Select Camera: In the "Camera" section, make sure the correct camera is selected.
Check system permissions
Windows:
Open privacy settings:
Right-click on the Start icon and select "Settings".
Go to "Privacy", then to the "Camera" section.
Allow camera access:
Make sure the switch "Allow apps to access your camera" is turned on.
Ensure that Microsoft Teams has camera access enabled.
macOS
Open System Preferences:
Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner and select "System Preferences".
Update the camera drivers
Windows :
Open "Device Manager" (right-click on the Start icon and select "Device Manager").
Find your camera in the "Imaging devices" section or "Cameras."
Right-click on your camera and select "Update driver." Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."
macOS:
macOS automatically updates drivers, but you can check for operating system updates to ensure everything is up to date.
If after performing the above actions the camera in MS Teams still does not work, and it is visible in the Device Manager, you should additionally download the drivers from the manufacturer individually through the dedicated application. This usually happens in the case of new, advanced office computers. Windows does not download such drivers during updates. In the case of Dell laptops, you need to find the Dell Command Update application from the Windows search and update the driver. Windows in the Device Manager will "break" the camera into four entries and then revert to one. In the case of Lenovo laptops, you should run the Lenovo Vantage application and proceed in the same way as with Dell manufacturer devices.
