Service Description

The editor is a web application used for creating documents using LaTeX syntax, particularly scientific articles, reports, presentations, brochures, etc. Work on a document can be done online in a group mode (as long as the project has been shared with others). The LaTeX language is excellent for creating professionally looking documents containing mathematical and physical notations, as well as drawings and charts.

All changes in content are versioned. The tool is available at https://latex-editor.pg.edu.pl

Access Permissions to the Service

The service can be used by all employees and doctoral students of Gdańsk University of Technology who have an active account on the Moja PG portal – without any additional conditions.

Students can gain access after being granted additional permissions – upon request from a university employee.

Individuals outside PG can gain access to the tool by submitting their email addresses to the Helpdesk. After obtaining approval from the CUI Management, access will be granted to the specified individuals. A system message with a link to activate the account (to set their own password) will be sent to the indicated email addresses.

Access to the Service

The service is offered at https://latex-editor.pg.edu.pl and does not require setting up a VPN.

Employees, doctoral students, and students (after obtaining additional permissions) can log in using their university account - for this purpose, the Login with Gdańsk Tech account option available during login should be used.

Individuals outside PG use their email address as the login and the password they set themselves.

Technical Tips, Support

Using the tool requires knowledge of LaTeX syntax.

Service Parameters

The limit for the size of uploaded files in the service is 10MB.
