Student mail

Service description

IMPORTANT! You must have active student status to access student mail! If you have not been a student for more than a year you will not have access to both new and old mail.

The service provides email capability to PG students within their assigned accounts in the student.pg.edu.pl domain. The management of student mail has been handled by Microsoft for some time, so the use of student mail has changed somewhat. Students can use mail in several ways described below.

The default size of a student's mailbox in Microsoft 365 is 50GB.

Getting access

To use PG mail, you must first activate an account in the university's My PG (Moja PG) portal. After activating an account in Moja PG, email can be accessed in three ways in parallel:

  1. We go to outlook.office.com (or https://webmail.pg.edu.pl/ - choose new mail) where we enter the login for our student account in the format sXXXXXX@student.pg.edu.pl (where XXXXXX = student’s index number), and then click the "Next" button. Be sure to use the login in the above format, i.e. sXXXXXX and domain @student.pg.edu.pl (sXXXXXX@student.pg.edu.pl), as this is the only correct format. Students wishing to access Microsoft applications no longer log in with the @o365.pg.edu.pl domain login!

  2. At this point, we may be prompted about logging in, as well as its frequency. We choose according to preference.

  3. By now we have access to mail using a browser-based mail client.

  1. We launch the MS Outlook email client installed on the computer, then enter our student address in the format sXXXXXX@student.pg.edu.pl (where XXXXXX = student’s index number).

  2. When the privacy prompt appears we click the "Continue" (Kontynuuj) button.

  3. The next window offers to import settings from the "Mail" program (the default program in Windows) to the MS Outlook mail client. Choose according to your preference, and then click the "Import settings" (Importuj ustawienia) button or also "Skip" (Pomiń).

  4. In this way we should be taken to the target window of the application where we have a preview of our mailbox.

The instructions were done on an Android phone, so on mobile devices with other operating systems the process may differ slightly.

  1. We download and install the Microsoft Outlook mobile app from the appropriate store for our phone's system (Android, iOS, etc.).

  2. We open the application, then add our student account (sXXXXXX@student.pg.edu.pl - where XXXXXX = student’s index number) with the "Add Account" (Dodaj konto) button.

  3. We confirm our identity with our login information.

  4. After completing the process of adding an account, we will be asked if we want to add another one, we choose according to our preference. If you don't want to, click the "Maybe later" (Może później) button.

  5. Thus, we were able to configure the Microsoft Outlook mobile application. As a result, we can already use the functionality of the mobile email client.
