Outlook mail archiving
In the email handling view, in the left vertical column right next to the standard account folders (Inbox, Sent Items, etc.) you will also find the Archive section. This space in your email account is used to conveniently archive your email correspondence: you can move any email message to the Archive subfolder/folder of your choice, thus organizing your personal account inbox.
Folders and subfolders within the Archive
In the archive, you can freely create your own directories and subfolders within the folder. To create your own folder, in the line with the Archive heading, right-click on it. This will expand the menu, from which you select Create New Subfolder.
It is possible to delete a folder by right-clicking on its name, and then choosing Delete Folder from the menu visible to the right of the folder name.
Mail archiving
To move multiple messages collectively to the Archive, select the emails (using the check boxes or the button to select everything).
After that, click the Move button to a folder that has an icon with a small arrow in a circle. From the menu that appears, select Archive. The messages will be moved to the Archive space.
You can also directly place selected messages (or a single message) in your own directory, bypassing the main Archive folder. To do this, while in the view as in the above screenshot, instead of selecting the Archive folder, search for your own folder.
To speed up the process, you can also adjust the actions in the mail settings so that the button for archiving is easily accessible.
Supplementary information
Any messages placed in the Archive remain on Microsoft's mail server, in an area pinned to your email account. Thus, the archived information will be easily accessible.
You can restore archived correspondence to the folders of your mail account at any time (as long as there is enough free space in the account). To do this, select a message or multiple mails, then, similarly, move them to the Inbox instead of the Archive.
