Joining to MS Teams meeting

The instruction is intended for people who want to join a meeting or a lecture on MS Teams.

Joining via link (e.g. in an e-mail or in a course on the Gdańsk Tech e-learning platform)

Click on the link received from a given sender with an invitation to the meeting or on the link provided by the tutor in your e-course.

By default, a meeting in MS Teams will open in the browser. However, if you have Teams installed on your operating system, you may be asked to open a meeting there (we recommend this option).

In the next step, depending on the meeting leader settings, you can join the meeting immediately or you will be directed to the waiting room.



Joining from calendar entry (inside Teams application)

After starting MS Teams and entering the calendar view (the icon is available in the left vertical toolbar), find the meeting in the days grid, then click on it. Then click the Join button.







You will be moved to the selected appointment view.

Joining by meeting ID and access key

In the running Teams application, click on the Calendar view. At the top, you'll find the Join with ID button. Click on it.





Then, in the displayed menu, enter the meeting ID and the access code (you should receive both information from the video meeting organizer, e.g. in the invitation sent by e-mail).

Providing the correct information will allow you to join the scheduled meeting.

The meeting ID and password (access code) are automatically included in the system e-mails with meeting invitations sent by MS Teams to meeting participants.
