Multi-factor authentication/Two-step verification
Multi-factor authentication (MFA or 2FA) is an electronic authentication method in which a user is granted access to a website or application only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism. MFA protects user data—which may include personal identification or financial assets—from being accessed by an unauthorised third party that may have been able to discover, for example, a single password.
Gdańsk Tech IT Centre recommends logging into university systems with the use of two-step verification. After enabling this option, logging in to the Moja PG account will be carried out in two stages. The first step is the standard login to the portal. The second step depends on the selected verification option - SMS with a code or using the application.
To enable two-step verification, it is recommended (or even necessary) to enable the consent to receive SMS messages from Moja PG. Instructions on how to enable the consent to receive SMS messages can be found on this page.
Step by step instruction
To enable Two-Step Verification:
after logging in to the Moja PG portal, click on the My account icon:
2. then select the Two-Step Verification tab and click the Enable button:
