General course settings


To change settings of course, you must first choose course to edit and next click Settings and Edit settings:

You will see Edit course settings window. Edition of course is divided on sections. If you need more information about option click (?) icon. Some of option has (!) icon, that mean that box is obligatory. First set option General:

  • Course full name- course full name is viewed on the top of page in course and on the list of courses;

  • Course short name- course short name will be used in places where full name would not be apprioprate;

  • Course category- you should choose the most  apprioprate category for your course;

  • Course visibility- we decide here whether students will/ will not see course in list of courses;

  • Visibilityon MOST Wiedzy- we choose here whether general information will be view on MOST Wiedzy system;

  • Course start date- you can set since when course will be available;

  • Course end date- this date is used in reports, users can still  open the course;

  • Course ID number- the ID number of a course is only used when matching the course against external systems and is not displayed anywhere on the site.

Description

  • Format- the course format determines the layout of the course page;

  • Hidden sections- this setting determines whether hidden sections are displayed to students in collapsed form ora are completely hidden;

  • Course layout- this setting determines whether the whole course is displayed on one page or split over several pages.

Appearance

In this label you can set number of information, which will be view in latest announcements- Number of announcements. You can also force language and decide about visibility of gradebook and activity reports.



Files and uploads

Maximum upload size- define maximal admissible file size, which can be send by student.

Completion tracking

Groups

The group mode defined at course level is the default mode for all activities within the course. If group mode is forced, then the course group is applied to every activity in the course.

Role renaming

This setting allows the displayed names for roles used in the course to be changed. Only the displayed name is changed- role permissions are not affected.

Tags

In this tab you can choose tags for your course.

After setting all options click Save and display.
